Effective January 1, 2026, we will be transitioning the method for providing the annual allotment of Paid Time Off (PTO) from an upfront grant to an accrual system. This modification stipulates that employees shall accrue PTO hours in proportion to their work hours. PTO balances will accumulate consistently throughout the calendar year, calculated per pay period, rather than being disbursed as a single lump sum at the commencement of the year. The adoption of an accrual system is intended to improve equity and consistency across all employment situations, including onboarding new personnel, employee separations, and variations in work schedules. Comprehensive details concerning the accrual rate, the maximum permissible carryover of hours, and the procedures for verifying your current balance will be officially documented in the 2026 Employee Handbook. Please note that all vacation requests submitted before the issuance of this announcement will be honored.
